Juneau Materials Testing Laboratory and Special Inspections

RESPEC’s Materials Testing Laboratory in Juneau, Alaska, provides full-service soils, asphalt, and concrete testing in accordance with American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), ASTM, and Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) standards using state-of-the-art equipment. Laboratory technicians are American Concrete Institute (ACI) and Western Alliance for Quality Transportation Construction (WAQTC) certified and familiar with the latest construction materials, methods, equipment, and other technological innovations. Our Materials Testing Laboratory offers a monitored, secure, and environmentally controlled setting to ensure accurate data when preparing and testing samples.

RESPEC’s specialized testing capabilities are here to meet the unique needs of our clients throughout the Southeast and the remainder of Alaska, which include government agencies, contractors, the mining industry, developers, and architectural and engineering firms.

We are also International Code Council (ICC) certified to provide on-site special inspections and material specification-conformance (quality assurance/quality control) testing during project construction and engineering data needed to support your project design. Construction materials testing and special inspections ensure that your project meets International Building Code (IBC) requirements and is built per plan and with quality materials. A thorough understanding of sampling techniques, testing procedures, verification procedures, and the application of various building materials is just a small portion of our expertise that contributes to the success of your project.
